Newsletter November 2017

Aloha Kaʻōhao Families,

We thank you for sharing your student/s with us. Everyday is a new discovery into their personality and uniqueness.

Please open the PDF below and get more information about your child/s school and what we have been up to this past month.

It’s time to pull out your calendar and pencil in some very important Kaʻōhao School dates.

Stephanie Lum of Hawaii News Now was on campus filming and interviewing students.

Why? Click on the PDF below to photos of our student leaders.

As we celebrate being “Heart Smart”, come and join our school by volunteering for Jump Rope For Heart on November 22.

Click below and see where you are needed.

Kokua Hawaii Foundation loves Kaʻōhao Keiki,  Parent Volunteers, Teachers,  and our beautiful garden! KHF has our school on speed dial anytime they want to highlight your child/s sweat equity in the  garden program. Click that  PDF to see what grade level helped some members of the General Contractor’s Association of Hawaii Give Back Program receive a check towards KHF!

Learn more about your surroundings and get your hands dirty by giving love to the land! Ulupo Heiau State Historic Site is asking for you to help at their community work day.  This work is so important that I am just going to tell you, or urgently ask … show up at 1200 Kailua Road,(behind the YMCA) Saturday, November 11– about 9AM. Bring a reusable water bottle,  tabis (if you have), a great attitude and or love of the aina.  You won’t regret it.

Enjoy the weekend Kaʻōhao families.
